The last movie that I choose for my film project is Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. In the beginning two minutes of the movie you understood at least one main character. A variety of film making techniques are used throughout the film, a few camera shot examples were wide shots and aerial shots. Wide shots were used to show the setting and the people that are in the film. An aerial shot was used to show the neighborhood and environment they live in. A editing technique was a shot reverse shot when Dave was trying to sell his brand of tequila to the bartender and the conversation was going back and forth. Another editing example was a long take of the conversion with the bartender. Diegetic sound was used when you see the shot glass hitting the bar counter and a sound motif was used when Mike and Dave are jumping on the trampolines and you hear music and fire works going off. The costumes and set design are both examples of mise-en-scene. In the beginning, Mike and Dave are dressed up in a suite because he is trying to sell his tequila while Mike is in a cowboy hat trying to be a by stander that likes the tequila. The jobs featured in the opening credits were: directing, camera shots, and editing people. The films budget was $33 million and the film produced $77.1 million.The film was nominated for a variety of MTV awards but unfortunately did not win.
